Hand-Knotted 8mm Half Mala with 54 Beads with Blue Lace Agate, Labradorite and Fire Quartz.
It has Tierracast Pewter spacers. It also has a beautiful Sterling Silver Pendant with Deep Blue Flashy Labradorite and a Labtadorite stone on top finished with beautiful repoussé detailing. The pendant is handmade in Kathmandu from sterling silver, so don’t forgot to gently polish with a polishing cloth every now and then.

The term Mala is derived from the, Sanskrit: माला; mālā, meaning 'garland' in which a string of beads is used for prayer and or meditation. These have been used by Buddhists and those with spiritual aspirations for thousands of years. Malas are typically made with 18, 27, 54 or 108 beads and it is said that Yogis and Buddhists were the first to use a Mala to enhance their spiritual practices. Also called Yoga beads, a Mala is used to keep count while repeating a “Japa” which is a spiritual discipline involving the meditative repetition of a mantra or a Devine name. They Can be worn everyday around the neck or wrist to remind yourself to be mindful. Malas can be made of various different beads and gemstones and just like a Malas means more than it appears, each of the different stones have different meanings and properties. I find most people choose their special Mala by finding the one that they are most drawn to.
